Job Details
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
Plan, organize, and schedule work activities, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Provide effective leadership to project teams, including foremen, subcontractors, and tradespeople, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners, ensuring their adherence to project requirements.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all project personnel.
Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Prepare and submit project progress reports, including daily logs, time sheets, and other documentation as required.
Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Civil Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Sound understanding of construction safety regulations and procedures.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work well under pressure.
Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as project management and scheduling tools.
