We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Superintendent for our Manufacturing Plant Construction project. This role is critical to the success of our operations and requires a candidate who is not only experienced but also passionate about construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from planning to completion, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from planning to implementation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project specifications and standards.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, addressing any issues that arise and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with local and national building codes and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders on timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Manage project resources effectively, ensuring materials and equipment are available as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting team engagement and morale.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with MEP, Concrete, Commercial Concrete, and Construction Commercial Ground up.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent is desirable.
