Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Superintendent for our fast-paced construction projects. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join a progressive, growth-oriented organization involved in a wide variety of construction projects, including commercial, multifamily, and healthcare sectors. As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycles, from initial planning and foundation work, to the final finishing touches. You will be expected to manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the daily operations of construction sites from planning to completion.
2. Ensure all construction activities align with the architectural and engineering plans.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
4. Maintain a safe and clean job site by implementing good housekeeping regulations and safety rules, ensuring compliance with OSHA 30 safety standards.
5. Manage and supervise the activities of subcontractors and laborers, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
6. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
7. Review the work progress daily, addressing any issues or delays as they arise.
8. Conduct quality control checks, ensuring the work meets or exceeds the project standards and specifications.
9. Manage the logistics of construction projects, including the delivery of materials and equipment.
10. Resolve any problems that may arise, providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Superintendent role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in commercial construction, multifamily construction, and healthcare construction.
3. Familiarity with construction management software.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines.
5. Experience with Big Box, Tilt Wall, Tilt Up, Condominium, and Ground Up construction methods.
6. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to direct and supervise a team.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to tackling issues on the job site.
9. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
10. Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
11. A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
12. OSHA 30 certification is a must.
