Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee all field operations on commercial construction projects nationwide.
This individual will be responsible for managing project safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractors, self-perform work, and overall project execution from mobilization through completion.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead all on-site construction activities
Manage subcontractors, field personnel, consultants, and vendors
Maintain project safety programs and OSHA compliance
Develop and implement site-specific safety plans
Review plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals
Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and resources
Manage project schedules and milestone completion
Conduct daily stand-up meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings
Monitor quality control and project documentation
Track production, labor productivity, and project progress
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
Interface with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and clients
Supervise Foremen, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Engineers
Support business development efforts and client relationships
Qualifications:
5+ years of Superintendent experience
Commercial construction experience required
Previous traveling superintendent experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
OSHA 10 required
OSHA 30 preferred
Knowledge of CPM scheduling
Experience managing subcontractors and field operations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
CSL preferred
