We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial projects, including retail, office, and restaurant construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Overseeing the quality control of all construction projects, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and in compliance with building codes.
3. Managing the budget for each project, including estimating costs, negotiating contracts, and making necessary adjustments to keep projects within budget.
4. Participating in the planning and design stages of construction projects, providing expertise on construction methods, materials, and regulations.
5. Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are aligned and working towards common project goals.
6. Monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to schedules, plans, and resources to keep projects on track.
7. Ensuring all construction sites are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
8. Resolving any issues or problems that arise during the construction process, using your expertise and problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience managing commercial construction projects, including retail, office, and restaurant construction.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, and current building codes.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of construction professionals.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make effective decisions under pressure.
6. Strong budgeting skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
8. A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
