We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our thriving Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all construction activities from initiation to completion. This role will require a hands-on approach, with the Superintendent involved in all aspects of the project, including quality control, safety management, subcontractor management, and construction planning.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities and ensuring they align with the project timeline and quality standards.
2. Implement and maintain Quality Control protocols, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the contract specifications and quality standards.
3. Develop, implement and oversee comprehensive safety management procedures, ensuring all site operations comply with industry and legal standards.
4. Manage and coordinate work performed by subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
5. Prepare and update project schedules, making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion of projects.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress, address issues and provide solutions to any problems that arise.
7. Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
8. Maintain regular communication with project team, providing updates on progress, potential issues and solutions implemented.
9. Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with company standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the Civil Construction industry.
2. Proven experience in Quality Control, Safety Management, Subcontractor Management, and Construction Planning.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines and other relevant regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to oversee and coordinate large-scale construction projects.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
8. Proficient in construction software, such as Procore or equivalent.
9. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications.
10. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be an added advantage.
