We are an experienced General Contacting firm out of Rhode Island seeking a Superintendent to lead a project in Bloomfield, CT. Our experience in industrial and ground-up commercial projects allows us to be more diverse in providing the right solutions for our customers.

Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your expertise in project management, overseeing all aspects of our construction projects from planning to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities, supervising field personnel, and ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

As a Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising all construction activities related to assigned projects and ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
2. Coordinating and managing all on-site operations, including the coordination of subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
3. Ensuring safety on the job site and compliance with all safety requirements, including conducting regular safety meetings.
4. Resolving day-to-day issues on job site, ensuring all work is installed in a workmanlike manner, and ensuring quality control.
5. Communicating effectively with project team members, clients, and subcontractors to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
6. Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
7. Coordinating required inspections with local jurisdictions and maintaining construction documents and project logs.
8. Assisting project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Superintendent position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, construction tools and equipment, and safety regulations.
3. Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a construction team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
