We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our thriving Construction team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our construction projects, particularly in the area of interior renovations and fit-outs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with a focus on corporate interiors, custom interiors, and interior finishes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects and contribute to our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Superintendent, you will:
1. Oversee all construction activities and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
2. Coordinate and supervise all construction tasks, from initial planning to final handover.
3. Develop and implement project schedules, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth progression.
4. Manage and coordinate tenant improvement and interior renovation projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
5. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
6. Ensure all safety regulations are followed strictly to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
9. Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, highlighting any issues and proposing solutions as necessary.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on fit-out, tenant improvement, interior renovation, custom interiors, interior finishes, corporate interior, and commercial construction.
2. Proven experience in managing and supervising construction projects from start to finish.
3. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
5. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety regulations.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8. Proficient in construction software programs.
