Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our Florida operation! The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment that rewards hard work and dedication.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and adhering to high quality standards
• Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the construction method and schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards
• Manage the procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
• Develop and implement quality control programs, ensuring all aspects of work meet customer expectations
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards, implementing and maintaining proper safety protocols
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists
• Resolve any problems that may arise and ensure all work complies with legal requirements and building codes
• Act as a leader to the construction team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction superintendent role or similar
• Proven experience in construction management, quality control, scheduling, safety management, contract management, blueprint reading, subcontractor management, materials management, construction planning, building codes, time management, and team leadership
• Strong understanding of construction operations and processes
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to lead and inspire a team
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• OSHA certification is a plus
