Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Superintendent to join a dynamic team. This role is integral to the company the Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil construction and capital projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a specific focus on civil construction and capital projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Supervising and coordinating all construction activities relating to civil construction and capital projects.
2. Ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
3. Managing and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to ensure smooth project operations.
4. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality workmanship.
5. Resolving any issues, problems, or delays that may occur during construction.
6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
7. Preparing and submitting project reports, updates, and other necessary documentation.
8. Implementing and enforcing safety and risk management procedures on the construction site.
9. Providing leadership and direction to the construction team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent, specifically in civil construction and capital projects.
2. Proven track record of successfully completed construction projects.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, methods, and safety regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and other project documents.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
8. Proficiency in construction management software.
9. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
