We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the Construction industry. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Commercial and Healthcare construction, ground-up construction, commercial renovations, and tenant improvements (TI). This role is pivotal in managing construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. As a leader, you will be at the forefront of this exciting journey, shaping the future of our company while building on our reputation of excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
4. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
5. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
6. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
7. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
8. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
9. Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes.
10. Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in hospital construction, ground-up construction, commercial renovations, and tenant improvements (TI).
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
5. Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
6. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent time and project management skills.
9. Strong leadership and communication skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.
