An industry-leading construction company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the construction process, from initial planning and foundation work, through to final inspections and handovers. Responsibilities
As a Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities daily, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Supervising and coordinating the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction specialists.
3. Ensuring all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
4. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to develop effective plans and schedules.
5. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
6. Addressing issues, delays, or problems on the construction site promptly and efficiently.
7. Preparing and presenting progress reports to stakeholders.
8. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized job site.
9. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Superintendent position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Superintendent with a home builder and/or renovation company.
2. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
3. Strong leadership and project management skills.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
6. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings.
7. Proficiency in using construction management software.
8. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Experience in home building and renovation projects is a must.
10. A track record of successfully completed construction projects.
