Job Details
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in ground-up construction, with a proven track record of managing projects valued at over $100M. Responsibilities:
1. Supervising all construction activities, ensuring that assigned projects are completed within time and budget constraints, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
2. Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met.
3. Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, procurement, safety protocols, and risk management.
4. Overseeing the work of subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project plan and meets all necessary standards and requirements.
5. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Identifying and resolving any potential issues or delays that could impact project timelines or budgets.
7. Providing regular project updates to senior management, including progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments.
8. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with local and national building codes and regulations.
9. Leading and mentoring a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent at a general contractor.
2. Proven experience with ground-up construction projects valued at $100M+.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of professionals.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant technology.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
