We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role demands a professional with a proven track record in managing construction projects, especially in the residential sector, custom homes, and remodels. The candidate should possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and motivate teams towards achieving the project goals within stipulated timelines and budgets. The Permanent Superintendent will oversee all stages of project life cycle, ensuring high-quality standards, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project, from planning to implementation.
2. Supervise on-site construction team and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely execution of project tasks.
3. Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
4. Ensure safety regulations are adhered to at all times, implementing risk management strategies to minimize work-related accidents.
5. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
6. Address issues related to delays, emergencies, or other problems that could affect the project's timeline or budget.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
8. Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.
9. Implement cost control measures to ensure the project is completed within budget.
10. Ensure high-quality standards in all construction processes and materials.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing construction projects, particularly in ADU, residential, custom homes, and remodels.
3. Proficient in carpentry construction.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
5. Excellent knowledge of project management principles including budgeting, scheduling, safety management, quality control, cost control, and risk management.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
8. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
9. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
10. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
