We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Superintendent to join a dynamic team on a permanent basis. This role is integral to the construction operations, primarily focusing on asphalt and road pavement projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to coordination and execution, ensuring that all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully completing asphalt and road pavement projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
3. Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
4. Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other construction specialists, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
5. Implement and enforce site safety measures, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
6. Conduct regular site inspections, identifying any potential issues or delays and taking necessary corrective actions.
7. Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and public authorities, ensuring their expectations are met and maintaining open lines of communication.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with specific experience in asphalt and road pavement.
2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and direct all phases of construction projects.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
8. Proficiency in construction software programs.
9. Valid certification in a relevant field will be an advantage.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
