Our rapidly growing construction company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a hardworking individual who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of construction. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the construction industry, including areas such as budgeting, cost control, scheduling, construction planning, materials management, and OSHPD. This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional to lead the successful execution of projects and ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Coordinate and manage all on-site construction activities.
6. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
7. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
8. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
9. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
10. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
11. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction superintendent role.
3. Proven track record of successfully overseeing and completing construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, safety policies, and quality standards.
5. Proficient in interpreting and executing construction plans, contracts, and specifications.
6. Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
7. Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
8. Good client management and goodwill building ability.
9. Capacity to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
10. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
11. Familiarity with OSHPD regulations and standards.
12. Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
