We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Paralegal to join our dynamic litigation team. This is a permanent position that requires a dedicated professional who can oversee and manage our paralegal team while providing top-notch legal support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a legal setting, and a proven ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively. This role involves a high level of responsibility and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding legal projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and guide a team of paralegals, ensuring the efficient and effective completion of tasks.
2. Delegate assignments to paralegal staff based on their skills and capacities, and monitor their work progress.
3. Review and edit paralegal reports, legal documents, and other materials for accuracy and completeness.
4. Coordinate with attorneys to provide comprehensive legal support, including research, drafting, and case management.
5. Implement and maintain procedures and protocols to improve the efficiency and productivity of the paralegal team.
6. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing cases, address issues, and provide feedback.
7. Provide training and mentorship to paralegal staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
8. Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
9. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process of new paralegals.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
2. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or related field. A paralegal certificate is desirable.
3. Proficient in legal research tools and software.
4. Excellent ability to manage and lead a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with the capacity to prioritize effectively.
7. Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and protocols.
8. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
9. Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal support and promoting the success of the team and the firm.
