This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in procurement, demand planning, production planning, inventory management, purchase orders, cost reduction, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, demand planning, production planning, and inventory management.
- Oversee the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and monitor strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
- Utilize ERP systems to optimize supply chain processes and generate insightful reports.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks or issues, and develop solutions to address these problems.
- Collaborate with various departments such as production, quality control, and sales to ensure supply chain processes align with company goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in supply chain management to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably in the scientific industry.
- Proven experience in procurement, demand planning, production planning, inventory management, and purchase orders.
- Demonstrated ability to implement cost reduction strategies in a supply chain environment.
- Proficient in using ERP systems for supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Strong understanding of the scientific industry and its specific supply chain requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
