Our esteemed organization is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and experienced Permanent Supply Chain Manager to join our engineering team This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing company. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity. This includes managing inventory costs, fulfillment, and identifying process improvements to ensure cost effectiveness and timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a particular focus on fulfillment and inventory costs.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy, including procurement, material management, and distribution.
2. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
3. Determine key supply chain KPIs and track performance to ensure targets are being met.
4. Suggest solutions for process improvements and identify bottlenecks to ensure efficient operations.
5. Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
6. Oversee the ordering and procurement of goods and services.
7. Manage and reduce inventory costs while ensuring the company can meet its target service levels.
8. Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the supply chain industry.
9. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
10. Resolve issues regarding shipped orders in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aerospace, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role, ideally within the Aerospace Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience managing inventory costs and fulfillment.
4. Proficient in MS Office Suite, database management, warehouse management systems, and ERP systems.
5. Strong understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to lead, manage, and develop teams.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
9. Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
10. Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and principles.
