Job Overview:
Responsible for rendering technical skilled care to patients during operative procedures under the direction of the registered nurse; preparing for surgical procedures; cleaning and turning over instruments, equipment and rooms for surgery.
Responsible for processing instruments and ordering supplies needed for the endoscopy procedures.
Responsible for transporting patients and specimens and assisting physicians and RNs with endoscopy procedures as directed.
Assists in evaluating the patient plan of care within the environment, contributes to overall unit efficiency, safety, workflow and utilization;
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a surgical tech program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.
