As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, providing critical support during surgeries and ensuring the highest level of patient care. You will work directly with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where every second counts. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be working primarily with Ortho surgeries, but may also be involved in other surgical procedures as needed.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, providing critical support during surgeries and ensuring the highest level of patient care. You will work directly with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where every second counts. You will be working primarily with Ortho surgeries, but may also be involved in other surgical procedures as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
- Assist surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Check patients’ medical charts and consent forms, and prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
- Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs.
- Operate, assemble, adjust, or monitor sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain a proper sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation.
- Assist in the preparation, care for, and disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and help apply dressings.
- Clean and restock the operating room, gathering and placing equipment and supplies and arranging instruments according to instructions, such as a preference card.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of surgical operation procedures and patient safety.
- Ability to handle and operate necessary instruments and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a high level of manual dexterity and the ability to stand for long periods.
- Must have the physical stamina for regular, heavy lifting and the ability to work under high pressure and stressful conditions.
