Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Vice President of Electrical Design and Construction to join our growing company. This role is integral to our company's success and will play a pivotal role in the design, construction, and operation of our data centers worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center facility design and construction, with a keen understanding of data center power and cooling technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team, drive innovation, and make a significant impact on our company's infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of data center facility design and construction initiatives, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our data centers
2. Develop and lead updates to design standards, ensuring they align with industry best practices and our company's strategic objectives
3. Have a deep understanding of data center power and cooling technologies, and leverage this knowledge to optimize our data centers' performance
4. Develop capital project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
5. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the design and construction of data centers meet company-wide needs and goals
6. Lead a team of design and construction professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
7. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data center design and construction, and leverage this knowledge to keep our data centers at the forefront of the industry
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center facility design and construction, with a proven track record of managing large-scale data center projects.
3. Deep knowledge of data center power and cooling technologies.
4. Experience developing and managing capital project budgets.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead a team and drive innovation.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to think strategically and make sound decisions based on data.
8. Ability to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data center design and construction.
9. Willingness to travel as needed to oversee data center project
10. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit/BIM
