Are you a tech-savvy, problem-solving, and dynamic professional with a knack for System and Network Administration? We are currently seeking a Consulting System Administrator for a three-month contract-to-hire position in the exciting field of Technology. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of passionate IT professionals in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting System Administrator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system software and hardware components.
2. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
3. Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
4. Setting up and managing user accounts and workstations.
5. Overseeing and testing system backups and recovery processes.
6. Providing technical support and guidance to users.
7. Implementing and managing network systems and servers.
8. Collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
9. Conducting regular system audits.
10. Working with executive team members, decision-makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in System Administration and Network Administration.
2. Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
3. Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS.
4. Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
5. Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box).
6. Experience with monitoring systems.
7. Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef).
8. Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python).
9. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX).
10. University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
11. Excellent problem-solving skills.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
