We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's IT network, servers, and security systems. This role is absolutely essential within our organization to ensure business continuity. If you have the necessary skills and experience in systems administration, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

As a Systems Administrator, your duties will include:

1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system software.
2. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
3. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
4. Managing network servers and technology tools.
5. Setting up accounts and workstations.
6. Training new staff on software and hardware usage.
7. Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
8. Conducting regular system audits.
9. Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff.
10. Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
11. Managing and reporting on the allocation of IT budget.
12. Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).

Qualifications:

1. A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related qualification.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in systems administration.
3. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
4. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
5. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
6. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
7. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
8. Excellent communication skills.
