Job Details
We are seeking a Systems Engineer who thrives in customer-facing operational environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. This position serves as a primary technical resource supporting production systems, infrastructure, applications, and end users while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Linux and Windows environments, containerized applications, and production systems while working directly with customers and internal engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary customer liaison by responding to operational questions, incidents, and support requests
Support and troubleshoot Network Video Recorder (NVR) platforms and associated infrastructure
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, and communication issues
Participate in client meetings, change control activities, and operational reviews
Perform software and hardware upgrades across Linux, Windows, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions
Monitor and support containerized applications and Kubernetes-based environments
Provide operational support for production systems in a 24x7 environment
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations
Deliver training and knowledge transfer to operations personnel and end users
Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions that enhance reliability and performance
Collaborate with Software Engineering and QA teams to test, deploy, and support applications
Participate in an on-call support rotation
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience supporting production systems, infrastructure, or enterprise applications
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
Experience with Linux and Windows environments
Experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized applications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to independently manage workload and prioritize competing tasks
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
Experience supporting high-availability or 24x7 operational environments
Preferred Qualifications
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) experience
Video streaming or video management platform experience
Experience with RTSP, WebRTC, ONVIF, or similar protocols
Experience supporting NVR platforms
Cloud infrastructure experience
Network administration or infrastructure support experience
