We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Tax Accountant - CPA to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in tax planning, tax preparation, tax code, GAAP, and accounting principles to our organization. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Tax Accountant - CPA, you will:

1. Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, corporate, and partnership) in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
2. Develop tax strategies and policies that help the organization meet its financial goals.
3. Conduct research on complex tax issues and new tax laws to minimize tax liabilities and identify tax savings opportunities.
4. Ensure the accuracy of tax data by reviewing financial records, spreadsheets, and other documents.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax codes and GAAP standards.
6. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
7. Assist in financial planning and analysis activities.
8. Provide advice on the tax impact of corporate strategies.
9. Prepare tax reports and forecasts for internal management use.
10. Train and mentor junior staff on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax planning and preparation.
4. In-depth knowledge of tax code, GAAP, and accounting principles.
5. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
6. Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and interpret tax laws.
7. Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and understandable manner.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
