Tax Accoutant

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Accountant to join our growing finance department. This position plays a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring compliance with all tax laws, preparing tax payments, identifying tax savings, and analyzing and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, and tax preparation. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare various federal, state, and local income tax returns, including the calculation of quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions.
2. Analyze financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
3. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to identify potential tax savings and minimize tax liabilities.
4. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in tax laws to ensure compliance and optimal tax strategies.
7. Provide support in financial decision-making processes by offering insights and financial advice.
8. Develop and implement effective strategies for tax planning and preparation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, and tax preparation.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
5. Proficiency in tax software and databases, as well as MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing all tasks.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly.
