Tax Analyst

Specific Job Duties Include:

Performing the review and/or preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns and preparation of estimated/extension tax payments
Performing and/or reviewing the various federal and state components of the quarterly income tax accruals, conducting federal and state tax account reconciliations, maintaining of deferred tax items, and determining current and deferred federal and state tax for provision reporting purposes
Gathering, organizing, calculating and correctly utilizing data from the general ledger and accounting (VEGA) and trading (VISTA) systems
Responding to federal and state income and franchise tax audits and jurisdictional tax notices
Identifying tax savings opportunities and performing tax planning
Supporting investment and deal teams in new business acquisitions and/or sales processes

Qualifications

One or more years of federal/state tax consulting experience or equivalent federal/state tax compliance/provision experience in business or industry
Advanced Excel skills are required
Exposure to partnership tax is preferred
Exposure to state tax is preferred
CPA license is preferred
