Tax & Accounting Manager

Small CPA firm currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. In this high-profile role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, tax planning, and general ledger duties. As a Tax Manager your key responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (1120, 1120-S), and partnerships (1065).
2. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for clients.
3. Reviewing general ledger and financial statements for tax compliance and planning.
4. Researching and resolving complex tax issues.
5. Assisting with IRS and state tax audits.
6. Maintaining and updating knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
7. Working closely with the team to improve processes and workflow efficiency.

The ideal candidate for the Tax Manager position will possess the following qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of progressive tax accounting experience in public accounting or a corporate setting.
2. Proficient in tax preparation software and experience with forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, and 1065.
3. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and filing requirements.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
