Responsibilities
Requirements
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns including 1040s, 1065s, 1120S, and 1120s, with occasional exposure to 1041s, 709s, and 990s
- Deliver timely, strategic, and technically sound tax planning and preparation for HNW individuals and closely held businesses
- Reduce partner review involvement through meticulous, high-quality deliverables
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal tax processes and best practices
- Perform tax research and apply findings to unique client situations
- Identify planning opportunities and areas of risk across multi-entity, multi-state client portfolios
- Help lead training and mentorship of junior staff, providing clear expectations and accountability
- Communicate progress and timelines to leadership and clients proactively
- Maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ business and financial objectives
- Stay current on relevant tax changes, especially those impacting pass-through entities and HNW individuals
- Contribute to a culture that values autonomy, excellence, and long-term client partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- CPA license required
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred
- Proven ability to review complex tax filings and perform high-level tax research
- Strong multi-state tax exposure
- Experience working with HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, and private entities across a wide range of industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
