Tax Manager - Oil/Gas

We were founded in 2005 and focus on oil/gas properties, midstream, and marketing services.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the tax function for our Oil and Gas clients. You will work closely with our clients to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while identifying tax planning opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CPA with 2+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the tax function for our Oil and Gas clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Identify tax planning opportunities and work with clients to implement tax-saving strategies
• Prepare and review tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax returns
• Research and analyze tax issues, providing guidance to clients on complex tax matters
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities regarding tax audits and other tax-related matters
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional client service
• Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing guidance and training as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification required
• 2+ years of experience in tax management, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
