We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Tax Manager to join our South Bay LA team. This is a flexible hybrid role that offers you the opportunity to work both remotely and in-person, providing you with the best of both worlds. This exciting position falls under the Accounting + Finance industry and is a permanent role, offering stability and growth opportunities. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning for a diverse range of clients. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of the highest quality tax services.

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and other tax filings.
2. Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients, including strategies for minimizing tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
3. Conducting tax research and staying updated on current tax laws and regulations.
4. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax accounting records.
5. Managing corporate tax, indirect taxation, international tax, and real estate tax matters.
6. Advising clients on the tax implications of business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and other transactions.
7. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and resolving any tax-related issues that arise.
8. Leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Tax Manager position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning, financial accounting, corporate tax, tax accounting, tax returns, tax research, tax advisory, indirect taxation, international tax, and real estate tax.
2. A strong understanding of C corp and passthrough taxation.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing a team.
6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
7. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
8. An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
