Job Details

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals.
Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Provide expert advice on estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law as it relates to taxation.
Collaborate with other departments to prepare financial statements and budgets.
Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, for efficient financial management.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients.
Assist in financial planning initiatives to optimize clients' overall financial health.
Mentor and train junior staff members in tax-related matters.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Tax senior or Tax Manager or similar role within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with financial statement preparation and budgeting processes.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex tax concepts to clients.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
