We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance, planning, and strategy. 1. Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation, filing, and reporting of federal, state, and local tax returns.
2. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
4. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to stay abreast of changes and ensure the company's tax policies and procedures are up-to-date.
5. Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure all tax audits and inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently.
6. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
7. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations based on tax data.
8. Work closely with the finance team to integrate tax strategies into the overall financial planning of the company.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on corporate tax (1120).
3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax data and make sound decisions.
5. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a team.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
7. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
8. High level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work.
