Tax Manager

The position includes working closely with business and individual clients on tax compliance, including tax planning and general business consulting. You should be able to handle multiple engagements and maintain client relationships by delivering an excellent level of professional service. This role is focused predominantly on applying tax knowledge and understanding tax issues; meeting with clients and gathering information necessary for filing; providing tax planning and general business consulting; reviewing tax returns; preparing complex returns; and assisting, mentoring and managing junior staff. There is a strong focus on recognizing tax planning strategies and communicating with clients to help their businesses succeed.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPA certification OR Enrolled Agent preferred
• Requires 5+ years of job-related experience
• State and local tax experience required
• Requires prior accounting and/or tax experience
• Management and/or mentoring experience with other staff members
• Prior public accounting experience desired
