Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and planning, including federal and state tax, income tax, and corporate tax.
  • Preparing and reviewing all tax filings and ensuring timely submission.
  • Providing tax advice and guidance tailored to our business needs, keeping up to date with changes in tax law and regulations.
  • Implementing tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liability and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Managing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Conducting tax risk management and compliance audits.
  • Advising on the tax implications of business decisions and potential acquisitions or mergers.
  • Training and mentoring junior tax staff.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role, with a focus on tax compliance, federal and state tax, income tax, and corporate tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations and apply them to our business operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
