Tax Manager
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead the company’s tax planning, compliance, and reporting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and international tax laws, while identifying opportunities to optimize the company’s overall tax position. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for all entities.
Ensure accurate and timely payment and reporting of all tax obligations.
Manage and review quarterly and annual tax provisions, including deferred taxes, in accordance with ASC 740.
Research complex tax issues and provide technical guidance on the tax implications of business operations, transactions, and proposed changes.
Lead the company’s tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and optimize after-tax income.
Partner with external auditors, advisors, and government agencies during audits, inquiries, or reviews.
Maintain and update tax policies, internal controls, and documentation in alignment with SOX compliance and best practices.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their potential impact to senior management.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams on tax aspects of acquisitions, reorganizations, and cross-border transactions.Supervise and mentor junior tax staff or external partners to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
CPA certification strongly preferred.
5–8+ years of progressive tax experience, including corporate tax compliance and planning.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations and U.S. GAAP tax accounting (ASC 740).
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, or Alteryx) and advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Skills
Experience with M&A tax, transfer pricing, and multi-entity structures.
Working knowledge of sales and use tax, property tax, and indirect taxes.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process automation and efficiency.
