Tax Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee both individual and business tax engagements, as well as tax planning initiatives.
• Direct and manage comprehensive tax research. Engage directly with clients, addressing intricate issues and preparing relevant correspondence.
• Assess and interpret client financial and business scenarios.
• Foster and augment positive relations between the firm and its clients.
• Set the direction for successful teamwork, embodying the responsibility this role demands.
• Oversee engagement output and conduct monthly evaluations of client reports.
• Guide and inspire junior accountants, promoting their professional growth, and assess their performance.
• Champion the firm's business expansion by enhancing the services offered to current clients.

Candidate Attributes:

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree and an active CPA license.
• A minimum of 5 years in public accounting with a focus on taxation.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax research and strategic planning.
• Robust analytical abilities paired with critical decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, notably MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with accounting and tax software such as CCH, Prosystem FX, and Sureprep is advantageous.
