Tax Manager - Boutique Accounting Firm
A growing accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive public tax experience working with high-net-worth individuals and mid-sized businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns and projections
Implement strategic tax structures and oversee complex tax projects
Identify service opportunities and recommend technology to streamline tax and accounting processes
Stay up-to-date on current tax laws and developments
Conduct research on complex federal and state tax matters
Oversee financial reviews and compilations (SSARS 21)
Manage and mentor staff, providing guidance on client engagements
Consult with clients on business matters, including controller support
Supervise federal, state, and local tax audits
Qualifications:
10+ years of recent public tax experience with HNW individuals and mid-sized businesses
CPA certification required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
Proficiency in tax and accounting software (QuickBooks experience required)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with CCH Axcess and Engagement is a plus
