Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120C) and other business-related filings.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state filings.
  • Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for ongoing tax projects.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
  • Maintain and update the company’s tax database and prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
  • Stay abreast of current developments in the tax area and provide suitable recommendations to mitigate tax risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a tax role, with a focus on corporate tax.
  • Proficiency in tax software and databases, along with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with an ability to work in a team.
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
