The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax accounting functions, including planning, compliance, and research. Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120C) and other business-related filings.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state filings.
- Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for ongoing tax projects.
- Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support.
- Maintain and update the company’s tax database and prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
- Stay abreast of current developments in the tax area and provide suitable recommendations to mitigate tax risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a tax role, with a focus on corporate tax.
- Proficiency in tax software and databases, along with excellent analytical abilities.
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with an ability to work in a team.
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
