Job Details


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions as well as the associated reports and documentation.
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Manage and mentor members of the tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or a blend of public and corporate tax roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax law and federal, state, and local tax codes.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and client engagements simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • High level of proficiency with tax preparation software and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
