Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the tax department.
- Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Review and manage tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Advise clients on the impact of new and proposed tax laws and assist in the tax provision preparation process.
- Develop and mentor staff by providing them with leadership, guidance, and training.
- Handle and resolve tax controversies with tax authorities.
- Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, as well as develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
- Ensure adherence to the highest quality standards of tax services provided by the firm.
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
- CPA certification is required.
- At least 5-7 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, experience with tax compliance and consulting for a diverse client base.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient with tax software and technology.
