Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage and oversee tax preparation engagements for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates
Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients
  • -Identify and communicate proactive tax-saving opportunities
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff and provide feedback and training
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering personalized and strategic advice
  • Manage, mentor, and train junior accountants and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Participate in firm initiatives aimed at improving processes, technology, and client service
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on business development initiatives

You should have most of the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA License Required, or Enrolled Agent
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation and planning
  • Prior experience in a public accounting firm environment
  • Strong background in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
  • Ability to identify tax strategies and proactively consult with clients
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation tools (experience with Thomson Reuters CS Suite or similar software is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills — ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, strategic client service
