Tax Manager needed for Seattle area Wealth Management firm
A bit about us:
As a Tax Manager, you will be an integral part of our dynamic and expanding Accounting and Finance team. You will be tasked with overseeing and managing multiple tax projects to deliver quality tax services for our high net worth (HNW) clients. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to engage in strategic tax planning and review of complex income tax returns. You will be the go-to expert on tax matters, and your role will be pivotal in advising clients on their tax obligations and strategies.

1. Manage and coordinate tax planning, tax compliance, and tax review for our HNW clients.
2. Prepare and review complex income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
3. Advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluate and select alternative actions to lessen tax burden and costs of compliance.
4. Identify and mitigate tax risks and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws.
5. Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance.
6. Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support for clients.
7. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
8. Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
9. Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives.

Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
4. Extensive background in various types of tax returns and tax laws.
5. Proven experience with tax planning, tax review, and tax returns for HNW clients.
6. Strong knowledge of tax software and MS Office.
7. Excellent project management and presentation skills.
8. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
9. Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
10. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
