We are currently seeking a Tax Manager with 4+ years of recent public accounting tax experience for an important role on our tax leadership team managing tax engagements for small to mid-size, closely held businesses, non-profit organizations, trusts and estates and individuals.

Are you a seasoned tax professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for finance? If so, we're looking for a Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in the Accounting and Finance industry. As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating tax compliance, planning, and strategy for our diverse clientele. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and are eager to apply their expertise in public accounting, individual and business returns, non-profit, trust, and estate returns.

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting and managing the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates.
2. Ensuring compliance with all GAAP procedures and regulations.
3. Leveraging your expertise in tax software, particularly CCH ProSystem FX and CCH Axcess, to streamline and optimize tax processes.
4. Providing strategic tax planning and consulting to clients.
5. Managing relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service, and developing further business opportunities.
6. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and advising clients accordingly.
7. Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Tax Manager position will have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a related field.
3. Extensive experience with 1040 individual returns, as well as individual, business, non-profit, trust, and estate returns.
4. Proficiency in GAAP and tax software, particularly CCH ProSystem FX and CCH Axcess.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to a non-technical audience.
