Position: Tax Reviewer – GAAP & Advisory Specialist
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/ year + Bonus + Profit Sharing
Location: Auburn, Washington - Hybrid-remote (initial onboarding in-office, flexible work schedule)

Job Details

We’re seeking a seasoned professional to join a collaborative team serving a diverse client base across South King County, Alaska, and beyond.

This role blends tax review, financial statement preparation, and client advisory services—ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and meaningful work.

What You’ll Do:

Tax Review & Compliance

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
  • Identify tax credits, liabilities, and ensure accurate, timely filings
  • Review prior-year returns for consistency and accuracy
  • Conduct payroll and sales tax filings and related research

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare attest financial statements (Reviews and Compilations)
  • Clean up accounting records and reconcile balances
  • Solve complex accounting puzzles with precision and insight

Client Advisory & Systems Support

  • Support QuickBooks setup and troubleshooting
  • Help businesses improve accounting systems and implement best practices
  • Provide direct guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs

What We’re Looking For:

Credentials & Experience

  • Licensed CPA (or in progress) with 4–7 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong background in GAAP and tax compliance
  • Experience in construction or related industries is a plus
  • Familiarity with job costing schedules is highly valued

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel is essential
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Thomson Reuters UltraTax is a bonus
  • Comfortable working in a paperless environment
