We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our team. This is a hybrid position in the public accounting & finance industry, perfect for someone looking to utilize their expertise in a flexible work environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and driving the success of our tax operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who is passionate about providing strategic tax planning and compliance expertise.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review complex tax returns including federal and multi-state for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Provide tax planning and consulting to our firm's high net worth clients for estate, wills and trusts, and related business entities.
3. Perform detailed and technical tax research, and provide innovative tax planning strategies to clients.
4. Advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluate and select alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance.
5. Manage and maintain client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
6. Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
7. Conduct valuation analyses and assess potential insolvency and bankruptcy situations, offering strategic advice to ensure optimal outcomes.
8. Work closely with audit teams to manage engagements and ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
9. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and policy, and communicate these changes effectively to the team and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.
3. Extensive experience with tax preparation, including high net worth individuals, real estate tax, S Corp, C Corp, trusts and probate.
4. Proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, valuation, insolvency, and bankruptcy.
5. Excellent research skills with a thorough understanding of federal and state tax codes.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax strategies to clients.
7. Ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
8. Proficient in tax software and technology tools.
9. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and dedication to excellent client service.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
