We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Tax Senior to join our vibrant team. This role is specifically focused on Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits within the Accounting and Finance industry. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. You will also be involved in intricate tax planning and research projects, offering you the opportunity to delve into the complexities of tax law and its application to various business scenarios. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Prepare and review complex tax returns (federal and state) for C corporations, including M&A and valuation issues.
2. Lead R&D tax credit studies and related activities.
3. Develop and sustain excellent client relationships through personal attention and timeliness of service.
4. Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax benefits for clients.
5. Manage engagements and coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery and thoroughness of work product.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP and ensure compliance in all work processes.
7. Identify and mitigate tax risks and ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations.
8. Assist with IRS and state tax audits and inquiries.
9. Provide guidance on multistate credits and incentives.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department, preferably with a focus on R&D tax credits.
3. Proficient in corporate tax, M&A, and valuation.
4. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, federal, and state tax regulations.
5. Proven experience with tax research, compliance, and planning.
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
9. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. A team player with a positive attitude, high ethical standards, and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
