We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our dynamic finance team. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, accounting, financial analysis, tax accounting, corporate tax, tax compliance, and tax planning. This role will require a high level of technical tax knowledge and the ability to apply these skills to our client's specific situations.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Senior, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing and coordinating tax audits.
2. Preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations.
3. Reviewing financial records, income statements, and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
4. Providing innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients.
5. Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to optimize tax liabilities.
6. Advising clients regarding the tax advantages and disadvantages of business decisions.
7. Coordinating with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely tax payments.
8. Assisting in financial planning and analysis to achieve the company's financial goals.
9. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and laws that can affect the company's tax liabilities.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, financial analysis, tax accounting, corporate tax, tax compliance, tax returns, and tax planning.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
3. Experience working with pass-through entities, S corp, C corp, and partnerships.
4. A Master's Degree in Taxation or a related field.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism.
