Job Details
Responsibilities:
You should have most of the following:
- Coordinate and collaborate with the team, other firm associates, and client leaders to ensure effective communication of information and financial issues, risks and recommendations.
- Analyze transactions, formulate tax-planning strategies and perform tax reviews to satisfy the client’s business and tax objectives.
- Use developed skills in the tax consulting process to effectively diagnose, develop and implement solutions for clients.
- Effectively manage competing priorities and projects while exceeding client expectations.
- Identify risks and communicate recommendations to clients through a deep understanding of the client’s business and internal/external resources available.
- Stay abreast of tax law changes in the U.S. to manage risk and identify potential planning opportunities.
- Champion the development of tax strategies to support the company’s growth and business initiatives.
- Identify new sales opportunities and develop proposals and other activities for securing new engagements with existing clients as well as new clients.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with referral sources and clients.
- Assume responsibility for client engagements and demonstrate strong leadership skills while working on client work and firm-related projects.
- Develop industry or technical skill specialization and expertise on specific topics within the department.
You should have most of the following:
- Minimum of five years’ experience working in public accounting and high growth companies.
- BA or BS in accounting or a related field
- Master’s Degree in Tax or MBA preferred
- CPA license required, will consider EA as well
- Deep technical expertise with demonstrated experience resolving complex tax issues.
- Experience successfully running multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and working knowledge of accounting and tax software.
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs by building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
